A Little Sneak Peek!

My handyman husband is at it again. This time he is making a farmhouse kitchen table. I am so excited and cannot wait to see what it looks like in our kitchen. He whipped it up in about a day and is now working on  staining the top of it. Here is a little sneak peek. I will post more when it is finished.

11 Months Old!

Blaine was 11 months old yesterday! I cannot believe he will be one next month. He loves to stand up on his own and can hold his balance for a few seconds. No more baby food and we have even started him on a little whole milk mixed in with his formula. He eats whatever we eat and his most recent favorites have been ham steak, pears, and mandarin oranges. He loves to dance, clap his hands, climb stairs, and wrestle with daddy and Bryce.

Mommy and Bryce were trying to entertain Blaine again. Bryce kept saying, "oink, oink"

Ways to Entertain a 2 Year Old!

Bryce is definitely a busy boy and with all the kids around here he does pretty well. He does get mad on occasion when the others are trying to play with what he is playing with. I try to spend some time with him and do some "big kid" stuff. Here are a few ideas we have tried in the last week: Baking soda with vinegar, dry erase markers, coloring on a cardboard box, making forts, and making roads for his cars out of old jeans (forgot to take a picture of them but they turned out pretty cool).

You can see my pile of jeans in the background that I used to make roads.

All Dressed Up!

For Easter I made the boys bow ties from old neckties. I had a big one for Bryce and a smaller one for Blaine. Of course, Bryce refused to wear his and I didn't have Blaine's quite finished so that it would stay on him. So, on the Sunday after Easter we finally got them on both boys, and I think they looked adorable. Daddy was trying to get a few pictures of them before church, which is not easy. Such handsome boys!

Videos of Blaine Butler

Here are a few little videos of our wild man Blaine Butler. He is into everything and if we don't have the baby gate up, he is right up those stairs. He is a little character! He loves standing on his own and is getting quite good at it!

Easter #2

The boys and I traveled to Altona to Jean Ann and Keith's house for another egg hunt and dessert. The boys took a short nap on the way there and we got there just in time for the hunt. Bryce was really getting into finding eggs this time. He was all about it. He was even crawling under cars and everything! What a fun day!
