Of course we had to take our annual Mother's Day Picture. I am so blessed to be the mommy of these 3 crazies. I wouldn't have it any other way. The day after Mother's Day, Blaine got to perform in the 5th and 6th Grade Drama production of "Beware of the Storytale Wolves." He was cast as Wolf #2 and Pirate #4. He missed school for a few days to rehearse with the rest of the cast and had to be responsible for completing his make up work. He really has such a talent for the stage and it is such a joy to watch him up there in his element. He was also hilarious!

Easter
We spent some time during Spring Break at Little John and went to the Easter egg hunt there. We also ate at our favorite breakfast restaurant, The Filling Station. This year on Easter we did another egg hunt around the house with clues that led them to another egg until finally it led them to their hidden baskets which were in the laundry room this year. Ali big gift was an outside swing and the boys big gifts were hats. They also all got paint by number canvas' that they were super into. It was fun to watch them all painting together. We celebrated at church with Easter breakfast and a beautiful service. We then headed to Billtown to Aunt Diane's where Blaine and Ali were the only two hunting eggs. We of course ate a yummy lunch of homemade chicken and noodles. We then ended our day at Keith and Jean Ann's for dessert and another egg hunt.
Pie in the Face
Every year, our NHS sponsors a friendly competition between teachers and staff in our building leading up to Spring break. Anyone in the building and the community can add money to buckets with each staff members face on it. In all my years here at Billtown, I have never had a pie in my face, until this year that is. Caroline Newell, a current second grade student, emptied her piggy bank into my bucket for some reason and I was one of the top 4 that earned the most money for the chosen charities. I chose her to be the one to put the pie in my face and it was seriously so fun! It was mainly whipped cream and actually tasted pretty good!

Ali Kay Turns 8
Oh Ali Kay! How is this girl 8 already? She wanted to have a stitch party this year and it was pretty fun getting all the decoration for it. We had her party this year on Sunday, January 19th since we had the next day off of school. We had a great time with lots of family to help us celebrate. The next day we met up with Jenn and the kids and mamaw and we went to Elevate in Milan. Then we went to Freddy's for lunch. We sure love our sweet Ali Kay!
Basketball Boys
Bryce played his first year of Junior High basketball and did a great job. He was one of the starters and loved every minute of it. They were a fun group to watch and really improved so much throughout the season. Blaine also played in the Alwood league again this year on Sundays in Woodhull and really loved it as well!
Kim's Wedding, New Year's Eve, and Mamaw's Birthday
It was sure fun to get dressed up and attend my very best friend Kim's wedding in the Quad Cities on December 28th. It was a very beautiful ceremony and fun reception. We actually got to sit with my other very best friend Brooke and her fiance Brian, as well as her parents and Doug and Dana Carlson. We had a great time together. The food was amazing! We enjoyed a nice and relaxing New Year's Eve at home this year. Mamaw and Papa came over and we enjoyed some yummy food and played lots of fun board games. We made a new record and we let the kids stay up until 11:00. Maybe next year we will make it to midnight. We were able to all get together and celebrate Mamaw's Birthday at her house with a yummy supper from LaGondola and an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen.
