Our Trip to Chicago, Day 1

Last Sunday and Monday, we took the train to Chicago for a few days with Nannie, and Brett and Jo and the kids. We had so much fun! We talked about just having Shane and Bryce go, and Blaine and I staying home. But we decided to all go and I am so glad we did. Traveling with an almost 2 year old and a six week old was stressful at times, but we made it with only a few meltdowns! On Sunday we took the 8am train from Kewanee to Chicago. We checked into our hotel, got some lunch, and walked to Navy Pier where we enjoyed the afternoon at The Chicago Children's Museum. We then headed back to the hotel so the kids could swim and ended the night having some delicious pizza just down the street from our hotel. I have alot of pictures to share, so brace yourself, this is a long one! I will do another post of what we did on the second day!

Bryce loved riding the train!

So did Blaine!

Sitting with Nannie

Enjoying his ice cream!

Uncle Brett singing to Blaine!

Hayden was very serious about his ice cream!

Sweet little Izzy

So much to look at

He loved the fountains at Navy Pier!

Daddy put his head in the water and he was telling me all about it!

At the children's museum at Navy Pier, he loved playing in the water room!

He looked so darn cute in this little, or should I say big, jacket!

Painting with water!

More fun at the museum, he liked anything that he could drive!

Having fun at the hotel pool, daddy and Bryce in the background!

Of course we had to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse before we went to bed. What a fun day!
