Papa's Birthday

We celebrated Papa's birthday on June 12th with a family dinner and dessert at our house. It's so fun to have our families so close. You can just tell the kiddos love their papa. We were trying to get a grandkid picture and the boys were being so serious until Shane started to make them laugh!

Then we tried to get a great grandkid kid picture and this is what happened!
                              Just watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Dad's cousin's son, Charlie, is staying with mom and dad this summer to help work on the farm. Bryce just loves him. They were watching youtube videos together and then he wanted Charlie to read him a book before he went to bed.

Patio Project

Shane has been working hard on our patio since he's been out of school. Just like every project Shane does, it turned out so good! He is going to add a little sidewalk and extend the front porch too. We are also going to work on landscaping. Of course, he had two little helpers!

Our Weekend in Joliet

This past weekend, Shane took his varsity basketball girls to Raging Waves waterpark in Yorkville on Saturday, stayed at a hotel Saturday night, and then played in a basketball tournament on Sunday in Joliet. Bryce and I tagged along for the fun! We left Blaine with mamaw and papa for the weekend. He is just too little for the water park. Maybe next year! We had a great time and Bryce was so good and so well behaved. He was shy around all those cute girls, of course.

                                 Fun at the water park

Having fun at the mall. We forgot our stroller, so we rented this car for him to ride in. He loved it!
He found a tractor to ride at the mall. He is making daddy hook up his wagon.

Watching daddy coach and farming at the same time

More Mommy Projects

With five kids in diapers around here, we go through a lot of wipes. I have been saving the lids to the wipes in hopes of making something cool with them. Well, I found some ideas. This project cost me $1 for the foam board at the Dollar Tree. Everything else I had. I laid out the lids, glued them down using my hot glue gun, and then glued different things under each lid. I think they turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself. Plus, the kids love it and it keeps them entertained! Win, win.

This is my next project. I'm going to put pictures of the boys behind each window and mommy and daddy behind the door. Love it!
