He's on the Move!

This is day 4 of Bryce running a high fever. I feel so bad for my baby. I know he doesn't feel good because he just wants to be held and he's pretty whiny which is not like him at all. Usually he loves to be on the ground rolling around and jabbering. A few weeks ago I took some videos of him. So enjoy, and here's hoping he feels better real soon!

5 Months Old!

Bryce was 5 months old on January 11th. He is growing and changing so fast! He loves to be on the floor, and he no longer stays put when we lay him down. He is all over the place. He rolls both ways, gets up on his knees, and loves sitting in his jumper. It won't be long before he is crawling! He started eating solid foods at about 4 months. He loves rice cereal and is starting to get used to oatmeal. We are going to try sweet potatoes and squash sometime soon.

So excited!

Oh, and I can chew on my toes

I'm just as surprised as you are!

Whoa, what's going on here?

Seriously, what's happening?

Okay, I'm done here!

Did you know I can almost sit up on my own?

Yea, I'm pretty proud of myself!

Back to the Real World!

Well, the dreaded day came and went. January 3rd, the day I went back to work after almost five months of being home with my baby boy. I was actually getting to point where I was ready to get back to work. I missed my kiddos and everyone I worked with. I was also ready to get back to a routine. Bryce has adjusted very well to our new schedule and I'm pretty sure he loves going to daycare. We have a 45 minute drive one way, but Bryce is such a good little traveler. He usually looks around for about 10 minutes and then gets bored and falls asleep. He never makes a sound. As soon as we get to Margie's, he opens his eyes and smiles. There is a little girl there around the age of 3 who always says to Bryce, "My baby, my baby." She gets very upset when he has to go home and even grabbed his carseat strap one day in an atempt to keep him there! There is only one other little boy who only comes a couple days a week, so Bryce is mothered by a lot of little girls! But I'm pretty sure he is okay with that. The days go fast, but I'm definitely missing spending so much time with my little man. By the time we get home, eat dinner, and have bathtime it's time to go to bed. It's just makes us enjoy our weekends with him even more!

Christmas Craziness Complete

Christmas #6 was on Sunday with the Yelm family at Mike and Lorie's house. Shane was already back home in Ottawa for some basketball games, so Bryce and I stopped by on our way back. After being away for almost 12 days, we were ready to be home. After church, we drove to Mike and Lorie's with our car packed to the brim. Bryce had a good time being held by lots of family members, watching the kids go sledding, and giggling with Grandma Jane.

Just hanging out with Nannie in my adorable church outfit.

Cute Little Boys and Christmas Cookies!

Over our Christmas break at home we ran into some other adorable little boys around Bryce's age. Mom is watching Cooper who is one month younger than Bryce but definitely weighs a little more than Bryce. Watching the two of them interact was hilarious.

Oh, hey there mom. I'm just playing with my new friend.

What's your name again?

Why are you grabbing my shirt?

Well I'm just gonna roll over on top of you if that's okay

Hey, you get back here Bryce that was not okay

Every year around Christmas time, a bunch of us girls get together and bake/swap cookies. We were suppose to get together before Christmas, but the blizzard changed our plans. So, we got together after Christmas. Not everyone could make it, but we still had a good time catching up. Plus, Bryce and I got to meet little Matthew, who is only 6 weeks old.

Matthew seems to be saying, "Um can you get this kid off of me!"

"Seriously, somebody do something!"
