30 Weeks!

Well I am already 30 weeks pregnant. It has gone by so fast. I can't believe I only have 10 weeks to go! Ahhhh! We are so not ready yet. The baby's room is currently empty with one coat of paint on the walls. We need to get a crib, a dresser, toy storage, a bookcase, curtains, well you get the idea. I better stop before my pregnancy hormones set in and I just start to cry. My c-section is scheduled for May 29th, which is my actual due date. They usually schedule you up to a week before your due date but my doctor will be out of town for the memorial day weekend, so May 29th it is. Ready or not!

Jake's 1st Birthday!

Our nephew Jake turned one yesterday and he had a big birthday party this past Saturday. Bryce was a little overwhelmed with all the people, but he soon warmed up and loved all of Jake's new toys!

He found a tractor of course!

Birthday boy!

Riding Jake's new toy

Having a stand off

Penguin bowling with Papa Pete

Knocking the girl's blocks over

Can't believe this little sweetie is one already!

Another Kitchen Update!

Well our kitchen is complete! Bill picked up our granite counter top for us and delivered it yesterday. We wanted something a little different and a little lighter than the other counter tops. I think it looks so good!

Our Weekend with the Wenzels

Once again, we spent the weekend of the boys state basketball tournament in Peoria at Stoney Creek Inn with the Wenzel families. We had a great time, but we missed Ken and Barb this year. Bryce had a great time at the experience at the Civic Center and loved swimming in the hotel pool.

Having fun at the hotel

He loved this slide! He wanted to go down on his own!

Video of the slide, I can't figure out how to rotate it

Calling Papa on the hotel phone

Keeping his distance at first

Not so sure about this

Okay, never mind it's fun!

19 Months Old!

Bryce is 19 months old today! I can't believe it. He is so much fun and is developing quite the little personality. He loves to run circles through our house, which is something I did in this house when I was little. He is a good little eater and sleeps from 8 pm to 6 am. There are some nights that he gets his blanket, says "nigh nigh," and goes up to his room on this own. We say a prayer and lay him down and he doesn't make a sound. We are very spoiled. He is so easy. Everybody says, "Wait until this next one." For now, we are just enjoying our little boy. He is also talking all the time and can say the following words: nigh nigh (blanket), noo noo (juice), ball, cheese, whoa, baby, eyes, nose, Mama, Dada, Papa, Mamaw (Grandma), tractor, kitty, choo choo (train), and Luna (mom and dad's dog). He also says other words, but we can't understand it all yet. He can also make the following animal sounds: cow, horse, and snake (random I know). He also likes to wrestle with daddy, head butt mommy, and bite Cooper (a boy at mom's daycare). Yikes!

He loves to help me clean

Finally, (after 16 months) he no longer has to wear a bib all the time

Such a little ham

He loves to take our phones and say "cheese!" like he's taking a picture

He loves his nigh nigh, laying on the couch or in daddy's chair, and watching ball

Kitchen Update

This past weekend, Shane got the island in place, hung up the light, and I finally got to put things in the drawers and cupboards. We ordered a granite top from a place in Morton and now we just have to go pick it up. I think it looks so good! It really completes our kitchen!

Bryce kept saying, "Whoa"

Putting trim on the bottom

Adding power so I can plug things in. Bryce is close by, of course.

Working on the light

The finished product, minus the granite top. A closet door will have to work for now.

More Kindergarten Quotes

Here's my next installment of Kindergarten quotes from this year:
  • Every year we have a Preschool through Second Grade Theme. My first year we were Ms. Holmes' Home run Hitters, then Ms. Holmes' Hungry Hippos, Ms. Holmes' Hammerhead Sharks, and Mrs. Tucker's Terrific Turkeys. We didn't have a clever saying last year because I was on maternity leave with Bryce. This year we are Mrs. Tucker's Terrific Tigers. We were learning all about tigers and then wrote in our journals about tigers. Everybody started their sentence with, "A tiger is...." Student #22 wrote "A tiger is awkward."
  • While getting ready to go home at the end of the day, Student #11 says, "I just love singing Boy Marley. It's just always in my head."
  • While arguing with another student, Student #9 says, "Oh yeah, well my sisters name is Minnie Mouse."
  • One day I overhead five on my students randomly whispering over and over, "Ice, ice, baby."
  • Around Valentine's Day, Student #2 was doing our calendar routine on the smartboard when Student #9 shouts out, "Would you ever consider being my girlfriend?"
  • Just yesterday I was going around the room stapling books that the kids had made. Student #4 says, "Mrs. Tucker when I grow up, I want to be a teacher just like you." Student #1 says, "When I grow up, I want to be a pastor's wife."

25 weeks!

I haven't taken as many belly photos with this pregnancy than I did with Bryce, but here's one from a few weeks ago. I am feeling really good, I am just pretty tired at the end of the day. We are not finding out boy or girl this time, which makes it even more exciting! I do have a feeling it's another boy though, and Shane says he has no idea. A few days ago, Bryce and I were on the couch and he lifted my shirt, kissed my belly, and then laid his head on my belly. So sweet!

25 weeks!

I had a little helper this time!
