Great Wolf Lodge

On President's Day weekend, we traveled back to Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee, IL. We had so much fun the last time we were there that we decided to go back. The weekend that we went it was super cold outside so it was nice to be stuck inside doing all the things that the hotel offered. Last year for Christmas Grandpa Bill and Grammie Gale got us a gift card and we used it to buy each kid what is called the pup pass. They got a cup of candy at the Great Wolf Candy Company, they got a special wand that they used to play a game all around the hotel called Magiquest, they got a certain amount of money to spend at the arcade, they got to mine for rocks, and get ice cream at Ben and Jerry's. We also went bowling, played putt putt golf and spent a lot of time at the water park! It was such a fun weekend spent together!

Here they are playing the Magiquest game. They had to point their wand at certain objects and spots around the hotel and it would light up or talk to them.

They had so much fun mining for rocks and figuring out the name of each one.

The awesome candy story and arcade!

Each kid also got to pick out a stuffed animal from the gift shop using our gift card. Ali picked out a wolf named Slush. Blaine picked out a Red Panda and named her Penny. Bryce picked out a wolf and named him GWL (Great Wolf Lodge).

They had this super cute animated show where the woodchuck at the top talked and the frame around the screen moved up and down.
One night while daddy went out to get us supper, we were front row for storytime and we got to meet one of the characters whose name was Brynlee the Bear. Ali said this was her favorite part of the whole weekend!

Ali Kay Turns 4

I cannot believe that our baby girl turned 4 on January 20th. She is such a joy and so sweet. She can be very shy at times but also quite sassy and determined. She knows what she wants and usually gets it! It's so crazy to think that I was convinced she was a boy the whole time I was pregnant and now I can't imagine not having a little mini me! She sure completes our family and I'm not sure what we would do without her. We didn't have a big party this year but we sure celebrated. We went over to Nannie's for a yummy breakfast of pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and monkey bread on the Monday we didn't have school.  Mamaw and papa came over for supper and presents on her actual birthday and then we had a fun play date with Jake and Jayla at our house. Grandpa Bill and Grammie Gale came over one morning with more presents. Here's a few pictures of our sweet girl and her many celebrations!
