Ali's Tumbling Recital

Ali completed her first full year of tumbling with Ms. Meg in Wataga. She absolutely loved it and learned so much. Her confidence when she was out there was really something special. The theme for this show was Wild About Tumbling! Each group had a different animal themed costume and her group was the tigers. They did a group dance, and then each tumbling group (there were 5 groups total) did an individual routine complete with dance moves and even some stunts. It was super cute and so much fun to watch!

Little John

We were so excited that we finally got into Little John this summer. We have been trying for about 5 years! We have gone there a few times with Bill and Gale over the years and I remember going there when I was little with Brooke. We spent the last 2 weekend there and boy did we have a good time! It was so nice to be positioned next to Bill and Gale. There were a lot of other people we knew there and the boys got to play with some friends from school and Ali even made 2 new friends. The weather was perfect both weekends and it was nice to getaway even if it was only 20 minutes away!

Blaine Turns 9

Oh Blaine Butler! I cannot believe he turned 9 just a few weeks ago! He sure brings the light, joy, and humor to our family! His laugh is just as a contagious as it was when he was a baby and he is as witty as ever. He loves to play with his sister and they can seriously play in the basement with those animals for hours at a time. They have their own banter and inside jokes. Him and Bryce still argue and fight but do enjoy playing sports together that is until Blaine loses. We celebrated his birthday this year at the Hawthorne Gym in Galesburg. Papa and Mamaw bought a 2 hour rental of the gym through an auction and we used it for Blaine. We played both basketball and baseball and it was such a great time. He even got to invite 3 of his friends: Amos Salazar, Evan Wenzel, and Bryson Hobbs. Evan's little brother Eli also tagged along at the end. Bryce had a baseball game across the field right after Blaine's party so we walked over and were able to make a day out of it. We of course had to have brownies and ice cream and presents too! We celebrated his birthday again on his actual day. We woke up a little early and he opened his presents before going to school. We surprised him with tickets to see Cody Johnson in concert next week and he was so surprised and excited! It is going to be so much fun!
