Master Bedroom and Gorgeous Hardwood Floors!

Our master bedroom is our first completed room except for trim and new windows. I think it turned out great considering what it looked like before. Shane did an awesome job on the floors! We got a little carried away with the pictures on this room, we just wanted to show the process of the floors!

This is what the floors looked like before we started

This is after the first sanding. It already looks so much better!

After a second sanding and some polyurethane.

After a third coat of polyurethane! How gorgeous!

I love how they turned out!

Getting ready to paint.Very attractive right! At Sherwin Williams they didn't have any paint sticks, what? So I had to use an old curtain rod as my stirrer. It works but I suppose it does look pretty silly!

My painting partner. Thanks Jenn! Good thing she loves to paint because we have about nine more rooms to do!

Walls after, but I still have one pink wall to paint in each of the closets.

We decided to paint one wall a different color. This is the wall our bed will be on and the trim and the door will all be white.

Hallway update

After MANY long hours of ripping up two layers of floor and hundreds of nails, the downstairs hallway is ready for hardwood floors!

Remember these pictures? This is the floor before, facing the front door

Safety first!

The floor came off one tile at a time

Proof that I helped with the demo too!

Closet

Just inside the back door, ready for hardwood on top. All we have left to rip up is the utility room, which will be our new downstairs bathroom. We are almost done with the demo, and ready to start putting things back together!

East Garden

Look at that post title. I am getting so good with this direction thing! Shane would be so proud! Good thing I have Jenn in the family to help me with my gardening. She came over last week and we weeded, organized, and replanted the garden on the East side of the house. It looks so much better now. We have alot more to do, but it's a start! Now if only I can remember to water them and remember the names of each one!

Garden before: this was actually taken about three years ago.
Garden after

We had to rip out that huge viney bush thing with a chain and dad's truck. For the record, Jenn didn't know the name of it either, so it will forever be known as the huge viney bush.

We found a hydrangea bush hiding behind that huge viney bush. Who knew?

It looks so much better now. We have peonies, daises, sedum, irises, hydrangea, lilies, and hostas. Did I get that all right Jenn?

Our next gardening project probably a few years down the road. We want to extend the cement and add some landscaping around the front.

Just enjoying our huge front yard!

10 months old

Bryce is 10 months old today! He is so close to walking and he has even stood on his own a few times without holding onto anything. We had to take his monthly picture at our new house this time, so the background looks a little different than usual. He didn't seem to mind too much!

Oh hey there, I'm 10 months old today! I got my two front teeth, I love to clap, and I can walk and push my puppy at the same time!

I'm gonna get ya

So big

What a silly boy!
