Holmes Christmas

We celebrated Holmes Christmas at our house this year on December 30th with the traditional dishes we used to have here with Grandma Kay and Grandpa Wayne. It was a great night complete with Christmas song pictionary and recreated pictures!

The traditional picture on the steps and also a pouting picture in honor of our cousin Stevie!

While looking through old pictures, I found this one and thought we should recreate it since we have the tree in the same place this year. The above picture was taken in 1993. We had to substitute Shane for Peter, Joel for Tom, and Jake for Stevie. I think it turned out pretty cute!

Bryce and Blaine's Open House

This past Thursday night, the boys had their open house at school. I was in Chicago for a Kindergarten conference, and I was so bummed to have to miss it. Luckily, Shane took a lot of pictures!

I think they were ready to go home!

Weekend in Burlington

During President's Day weekend, we spent two nights in Burlington at Fun City. On Saturday night we went to a wedding reception of one of Shane's coworkers. We then spent all day Sunday and Sunday night hanging out at Fun City playing games, swimming, riding go-carts, and playing in the ball area. We had a fun weekend away! We only have pictures from the reception because we were apparently having too much fun at Fun City to take any pictures!

Daddy Daughter Dance

The night after the Mommy/Son dance, they had a Daddy/Daughter dance. This was the first year that Shane and Ali attended and I think it will now be the tradition. Shane said she loved to dance and her signature move was the spin. She was also obsessed with all the balloons and brought home quite a few!

Mommy/Son Dance

Last month, the boys and I attended the annual Mommy/Son dance in Alexis at the Fieldhouse. This year's theme was Red, White, and Blue. Of course, we all had a blast!
