New Camper

We have been thinking about getting a new camper for awhile now. We are just simply out growing ours. It has been such a great first camper for us and we are so glad we bought it and enjoyed it for 3 years. We have so many great memories and a few not so great memories (ants, storms, and fish bait left in the unplugged fridge). We traveled to Atkinson on President's Day since we all had the day off from school and we traded our old camper in for a big upgrade. We are so beyond excited for our first camping adventure which is on the books for Easter weekend.

Boys Trip/Girls Weekend

This year Ali and I decided to stay home instead of traveling to Champaign for the boys state basketball tournament. The boys skipped school on Friday and left on Thursday night to head to the hotel to watch games all day on Friday. They got back Sunday around noon. Ali and I had a fun girls weekend. We went to my school carnival on Friday night with Mamaw and Papa where we both won a cake from the cake walk, went shopping on Saturday, had Jayla come over to play Saturday afternoon, and watched the movie Bad Guys that night that we bought at Target. She even got to sleep with mommy one night and she thought that was pretty cool! Meanwhile the boys had a great time going to the games, eating all kinds of good food, hanging out at the hotel, and swimming in the hotel pool. We sure missed our boys and I think they missed us too, but it was a fun weekend doing all the things we all loved.

Random Pics From My Phone

This is a random collection of photos from my phone from the past few months. Ali Kay borrowed these puzzles from mamaw's house and she worked hard to put them all together. She is a pretty smart girl!

For the 100th day of school, the Kindergarten classes dressed up like they were 100 years old!

Blaine won a Tom Brady book at school and was so excited and Bryce gave another talk and demonstration for 4-H about tools for his woodworking project.

Ali participated in another cheer clinic and this time during the basketball season. There were so many girls there and it was so much fun to watch. We had a snow day that day so Jake and Jayla came over for a playdate during the day so they were able to come to the game with us to watch Ali that night. It was perfect because RW played United that night.

We had another cousin day at Discovery Depot. These 5 sure have a great time together!

We got to help cousin Val celebrate her 30th birthday with a fun afternoon of bowling and Ali and I taking our annual Ash Wednesday selfie.

Grandma D and Mamaw's Birthday

We celebrated Grandma D's 93rd birthday party at her house on January 7th with a big family birthday party complete with a fun game that everyone got to enjoy! We also celebrated Mamaw's birthday on January 13th with a family dinner with the Johnson family. We sure are pretty lucky to have 2 beautiful, kind, and strong women to look up to.

Ali Kay Turns 6

Ali Kay turned 6 on January 20th. Oh where to start with this girl? She is the light of our family. She knows what she wants and when she wants it. The other day she said, "What? I do what I do." She loves all things chocolate and every kind of fruit. She loves to do art and her coloring skills are pretty impressive. She can be found doing directed drawings on Art Hub for Kids and loves to play with Blaine. They entertain each other for hours on end. She is rocking Kindergarten and is at the top of her class! Her birthday was on a Friday this year, so she opened up presents before school and we went to Applebee's for supper that night. We had a HUGE family party the next day with over 40 people in our house! It was so fun to have everyone back to celebrate our sweet girl! Due to Bryce's basketball game we had to have her party closer to supper time so we picked up Lagondola on our way home from Kewanee and of course ice cream, cupcakes, and an Encanto cake! Happy 6th birthday Ali Kay! Here's to another trip around the sun loving on you!
