Bryce The Climber!

Bryce is becoming quite brave! He can be found climbing everything from the stairs, to Papa's tractors, to the fireplace, to the picnic table, to the....well you get the idea!

So proud of himself!

My First 5K

On July 20th, I ran my first 5K at the Oneida Sweet Corn Festival. Well I walked some, I ran some, I walked some, etc. I definitely was not trying to win any medals, I was just happy I finished. I'm pretty sure I haven't ran since high school basketball. Dad on the other other hand, pretty much ran the whole thing and got 3rd in his age group and mom pushed Bryce in the stroller. We had a great time, and I definitely plan on doing another one.

Hallways

The upstairs hallway and the downstairs hallway are both painted. We were going to do the hallways the same color, but decided the yellow color would be a little too bright downstairs.

The upstairs is pretty dark, so we went with a bright color!

It looks a little more gold in person.

Baby Donkey

On July 7, mom and dad's donkey Blossom had a baby girl. They named her JJ since she was born on Jenn and Joel's anniversary. She is super cute and looks just like her mommy. She could stand up on her own only two hours after being born! Two days before JJ was born, mom and dad went away for the weekend for their anniversary, so I was on donkey duty. Dad put Blossom in a pen by herself and I checked on her ALL the time! Luckily, I didn't have to put my farm girl boots on because she waited until mom and dad got home on Sunday to have her baby. Thank goodness!

Float Trip

At the end of June, Shane and I went on a float trip with Jenn and Joel and three other couples to the Big River in Missouri. We had a great time. We went to the St. Louis Brewery and the Arch as well. We are thinking of making it an annual trip. Although we had a great time it was the first time we had spent three nights away from our little boy, so we were ready to be back home.

This is how Shane feels about spending the weekend with me

Oh that's much better!

Oak Run Poker Run

On June 22nd Shane and I went on a Poker Run at Oak Run with Brett and Jo on their new boat. We had so much fun! We went to seven different houses on the lake to get a poker card. At each stop they had a theme, appetizers, a signature drink, and some sort of game or activity. At the end of the day we ended up at Windemere beach where they announced the winners and had a DJ. All of these pictures were from Gale's camera. I kept calling her paparazzi all day. These are only about half of the pictures she took!

Captain Tucker

Sporting my new pirate bandana I won at the first stop!

Talking to the cute boat boy!

A game where you had to get all the ping pong balls out of the kleenex box tied around your waist!

It was hilarious to watch!
