Ali Kay Turns 7!

 Our sweet little Ali Kay turned 7 on January 20th! I keep telling her not to grow up, but she doesn't listen. She sure lights up our lives and we couldn't imagine our lives without her. She has the best personality and is definitely my mini-me. She has her daddy wrapped around her finger and she just recently learned how to bat her eye lashes at him when she wants something. She knows that he won't tell her no. She adores her brothers and is seriously rocking the 1st Grade! She had straight A's so far. We just love our sweet little Ali Kay. Bryce was asking the other day how many different nicknames I have for her so we started listing them: sister, sis, baby girl, girlfriend, Ali Kay, sweetheart, and Miss America. 

State Tournament

The weekend of March 8th, the boys took off for the basketball state tournament in Champaign. They left after school on Thursday and skipped school on Friday. They came back home on Sunday afternoon. In order to save money they stayed in a motel instead of a hotel this year. Bryce did not like this and it gave him a little bit of anxiety. We have spoiled our kids with fancy hotel rooms I guess. He powered through and they had a great time. While the boys were away, Ali had a play date with her friend Greta. Her and her mom came over for the afternoon on Saturday and then Ali and I watched Parent Trap on Bryce's bean bag. 

Dress Up Days, 4-H, Springfield, Lite-Brite, Carnival, and Open House

 I have a bunch of random photos from my phone that I am grouping together for this post. Ali dressed up for the 101st day of school as a dalmation dog. All three kids dressed up the Friday before the Super Bowl. Both Bryce and Blaine did their talk and demonstration during their February 4-H meeting. Bryce gave his talk on photography and Blaine gave his talk on Model Rockets. On Monday, February 19th, we traveled to Springfield with Mamaw and Papa and the Johnson Family to go to the Lincoln Museum and the Lincoln Tombs. During the Boys basketball game on February 19th both Bryce and Blaine were announced with their basketball teams. While the boys were away at the high school boys basketball tournament in Champaign, Ali and Jayla came to my school carnival with Mamaw and Papa. And finally, the kids had their annual open house at their school on March 14th. Bryce created a display with his friend Beau on their science experiment, Blaine made a display with his friend Lincoln about famous people born in Illinois, and Ali made an Artic display with a penguin and a google slide in the background.
