Snow Day Fun!

We have enjoyed a few snow days this year already. Bryce loves the snow and calls it, "no." Mommy and Bryce had fun playing in the snow once it warmed up a bit and Daddy and Blaine enjoyed a fire inside.

We brought some snow inside to play with. Of course he had to use his tractors to move the snow just like papa and daddy.When ROWVA had four snow days in a row, Lyla's brother, Jake got to spend the days at our house. Bryce loved having an older boy to play with and he played so well with Bryce.

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Holy cow, it's cold out there. And by "out there" I mean our breezeway and the garage. In fact I haven't stepped outside since Sunday morning when we picked up the boys from Myrl's house. I think I went out to get the mail on Monday, I think. I'm actually gonna go outside tomorrow, put on shoes, get in a car, and drive out the driveway. Well, for a little bit anyway. I love the fact that I don't have to drive to Henry anymore, especially in this weather. I love working from home and I love seeing my boys all day everyday. Yes, it can be stressful at times, and yes I have in fact missed being in the classroom on more than one occasion. But I would not trade these days and these moments with my boys for the world. I love being called mommy, even if it is for the 403rd time today. And even if it's in a super whiny voice. I love being needed and I love just simply being there.

New Year's Eve!

We had a little New Year's Eve gathering at our house with Jenn and the kids (Joel was gone snowmobiling), and Mamaw and Papa. The kids had fun playing together in the basement, we made our own individual pizzas, had fun with our photo booth, and made popcorn! Blaine was in bed at 7 like normal and Bryce stayed up until 9, which is late for him. Mommy and daddy made it to about 10:30! Happy New Year!

Discovery Depot

On Tuesday, December 30th, we celebrated Jayla's 4th birthday by going to Discovery Depot in Galesburg. It is a great little museum and the kids had a great time.

Christmas at Papa Bill's and Grammie Gale's

Last Sunday we had our last Christmas celebration with Papa Bill, Grammie Gale, Grandma Bev, Aunt Jo, Uncle Brett, Hayden, Izzy, Aunt Amanda, Uncle Sam, Brodie, Chloee, and Sawyer at Bill and Gale's house. We went over to their house after church in hopes of both boys taking their afternoon nap there before the party at 4, but no luck. Bryce didn't nap at all and Blaine only slept an hour. So we had 2 pretty crabby boys by about 6 o'clock. We don't do good when we get off of our schedule. Oh well, we enjoyed some great fish and chips and lots of other yummy food! For Bill and Gale's Anniversary and Christmas gift we all went in and got them a family vacation to Minnesota in July where they use to go when the boys were growing up. We even got out some old family videos to show the kids where we will be going in July.
