Trip to St. Louis

 At the beginning of summer, we had talked about making a cross country trip to South Carolina. But with Shane getting a new job and starting a week earlier than we had planned, we decided to go to St. Louis instead. Besides, I don't think we are quite ready to spend 2 whole days in the car just yet. Maybe next summer, or the summer after! We decided to take Nannie with us and boy did we have a great time! We went to a really cool Children's Museum called The Magic House. We went to the zoo, went out to several really good restaurants, and we ended our trip with a Cubs vs. Cardinals game where unfortunately the Cardinals won. We also walked to the arch but no one was too excited about going up so we just took pictures next to it. 

Camping in Rock Island

 As soon as the 4-H fair was over, we packed everything up and headed to the KOA Campground in Rock Island. It was a great campground with so much to do! We played board games in the community center, we went on the paddle boats, jumped on the jump pad, played on the playground, learned how to play gaga ball, played volleyball and basketball, went putt putt golfing, swam in the pool, and rented a golf cart to drive all around the huge campground! We had fun being together on another camping adventure! And of course Jake and Jayla had to come stay with us again! 

The theme of the campground was "Camelot." They had fun trying to pull the sword out of the stone and acting out the different scenes on the building.
