Life at Home

We came home one week ago today, on Sunday afternoon. We were welcomed with balloons and signs hanging in our breezeway. We survived the first night, but just barely. Blaine would eat every 2 hours and when I went to lay him in his bassinet in our room, he would just scream. So mommy and Blaine spent the night either in the rocking chair or in the recliner downstairs. Every night since then he has slept just fine in his bassinet. He has slept 3 hours at a time on a few occasions. Yeah! I think he just had to get used to his new home. Bryce had a hard time too going to sleep once we came home that first night. He usually goes down at around 8 and never makes a sound. This time he just cried and cried and didn't want daddy to put him down. He had spent three nights away from us, and was not quite sure what was going on. Shane finally got him to sleep a little before 10! Whew, what a night, but ever since then it has gone much better! We are enjoying our little family and just hanging out at home.

A few days last week mom only had Ida Mae and Bryce so they came over and spent the morning with us. It was nice having help around the house and lunch made for me.

Best Big Brother Ever!

Okay, I know I'm biased, but Bryce is seriously the best big brother ever! He has surpassed my expectations. I really didn't know what he would do when this baby came, but he has done so good. He was so excited to meet him. He loves to give him kisses and the first thing he says in the morning is, "baby." He doesn't say Blaine yet, but he calls him B or brother. Seriously, melts my heart.
