Jake's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated cousin Jake's birthday on his actual birthday this year since it was on Saturday. We started the day by going to the John Deere Pavilion in Moline to climb on all the tractors and equipment. We then stopped at Pizza Hut in Orion on the way home where we enjoyed lunch and cupcakes with the birthday boy!

They had baby ducks there that had just hatched and some that were a few weeks old. Bryce kept saying, "Hi ducks!"

New Pigs

A few weeks ago Dane and Hannah got their first pigs of the show season and we just had to make a trip over to mamaw and papa's house to see them. The boys were pretty excited! Of course we had to see JR (the donkey) and Luna (the dog) too.

Both boys just love Luna and someday we are going to get our own dog. Bryce already informed us that he wants one just like her.

Our Annual Trip to Peoria

Last weekend we traveled to Peoria for our annual trip to Stoney Creek Inn for the boys basketball state tournament. We had so much fun with the Wenzel families, although we missed Ken and Barb this year. We survived 3 nights in a hotel with 2 boys. They were actually really good and loved our "vacation." We went down on Thursday night after the daycare kids got picked up and came home Sunday morning. Both boys took 3 hours naps on both Friday and Saturday and slept all night. This gave mommy a chance to watch some really good movies on Netflix! The boys got to play at the "experience" at the Civic Center, go on a river walk, play at 3 different playgrounds, and of course go swimming everyday. They loved eating breakfast at the hotel and hanging out in the suite with everyone! And if you remember my blog post last year about our trip, no one got sick on the way home this year! Yea for that!
