Preschool Graduation

Bryce's last day of preschool at the High School was on May 10th. They did a little program for the parents by singing songs and showing a slideshow of pictures. Each student also received a certificate and had time to enjoy cookies and lemonade. He was so excited for his program and was practicing his songs all night. While the kids were waiting for the program to start one of his best friends started to get sad and cry and then Bryce started to cry. His friend finally calmed down, but Bryce did not. He cried through the whole program and did not want to do anything. Oh well, maybe next year!

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day this year! I enjoyed donuts for breakfast and church with my boys. We went out to eat for lunch, played outside, and ordered Jimmy's pizza for supper. I just love my sweet boys so much. I am so very blessed that I get to be their mommy.

Planting with Papa

Papa has a full tractor cab this year! Both boys love helping him. The night before Mother's Day we had a cookout at our house and the boys helped papa plant sweet corn at our house.

Preschool Dress-Up Days

There have been several dress up days for preschool, and Bryce really gets into dressing up. He also loves to pose for me in front of the fireplace, I love it!

 On Farmer day, the FFA kids had their annual petting zoo so Blaine, Lyla, and I picked up Bryce from school and made a trip over to the petting zoo. The kids loved it, of course. They had a horse, a cow, a donkey, two pigs, one puppy, one rabbit, four chickens, and two goats.

Trip to Chicago

This past Saturday, we made a little trip to Chicago to Navy Pier to the Children's Museum. We stayed in a hotel in Bollingbrook where we got to enjoy the pool! We left Saturday morning and came back home Sunday afternoon. We bought Cubs tickets for mom and dad for Christmas for a game in July from one of Shane's friends in Gardner, so we made a stop at our old stomping ground on the way home on Sunday to pick them up. It was a fun little "vacation" as Bryce calls it.

 Quick stop at McDonalds before we went to the museum. They were so excited!

 The first room you came to was a big pet room and the boys loved it! They came back to this room several times!

            Next was the fire station and that was a favorite too!

 I'm pretty sure the water room was Blaine's favorite and he got soaked!

 Ever since starting preschool, Bryce has been very interested in dinosaurs. This was the main reason we took this trip. We talked about going to the Field Museum but we thought he is still too small for that. Maybe in a few years. I remembered from before that this museum had a dinosaur room where they could dig up bones, and it even had a life size T-Rex skull!

 The boys were so good and they had so much fun. We went to each area in the museum at least twice!
