Bryce Samuel

Bryce is at such a fun age right now. He has been saying and doing some pretty hilarious things recently, so I thought I would share. When we were leaving Mark and Patty's house after our cookie exchange he was taking forever to walk to the car. I had Blaine in his car seat ready to go and Bryce was just walking around their driveway and through the flower beds. I told him I was going to count to 3 and he better be getting in the car. I started to count and he threw his hands up and said, "Mommy, Bryce is coming, what's the big deal?" I couldn't help it and started to laugh, so much for 2, 3! And you know what? He's right. His slow walk to the car really isn't a big deal in the whole scheme of life! God bless his little soul! He was been saying that a lot lately and we asked him, "Who says that?" He replied, "Bryce does, all the time."

A few nights ago we were going to Shane's game and I had both boys buckled in the car in the garage all ready to go but I forgot to grab their blankets for the ride home. I ran back into the house and when I got back to the car and opened the door, Bryce said, "Bryce been asking Blaine about his day but Blaine not say anything." It was seriously so cute. He is so good with Blaine.

He also can't get over how dark it gets at night. When we are driving somewhere, he will look out the window and say, "So so so so dark out. Bryce can't see anything." Oh this boy, how I love his sweet little heart. He makes me laugh everyday and I just love how he talks in third person.

We have been taking him to the doctor a lot lately because of some tummy issues, we will just leave it at that. This past week we had to go to Peoria to see a specialist and I told him if he was good then we would stop to get ice cream on the way home. He did so good and was so brave. I asked him where he wanted to go and he said, "The ice cream place by Wendy's." Not sure how he knows about that place because we've never taken him there, but that is where we went. 44 flavors and he chooses vanilla. He is just like his daddy. While the two of us were eating our ice cream, he kept saying, "So fun eating ice cream with mommy." It was seriously one of those moments where I wanted it to last forever. He was such a big boy sitting there eating his cone with ice cream all over his sweet little face. I just hope he always stays this sweet.
