You never know what you will see on the farm. So far we've had skunks, raccoons, deer, rabbits, and a few cats. Well, this week it was a snapping turtle on our front porch. Yes, this huge turtle made it's way up our stairs and sat on our front porch all day until Shane got home from basketball. It's a good thing we don't use our front door. With papa's help, they loaded it up in a tote and took it to a lake just down the road from our house. The picture really doesn't do it justice, it was huge! The kids and I had fun watching it through the window.
These farm boys just love being outside. The first picture is how Bryce spends a lot of his time, waiting on papa to come down the road so he can go outside and work with him. Bryce has been wanting Blaine to ride on the 4-wheeler with him since he got it for his birthday last August, and Blaine has finally agreed and now he loves it!
Last week we ate supper for the first time on the breezeway. Growing up, we always had brunch on the breezeway with my grandparents and I wanted to carry on that tradition. The boys thought it was so much fun and we have done it several times since then.
Last Friday night Bryce and I had a date night to go see mamaw and papa sing in the Choral Dynamics show "Summertime." Daddy stayed home with Ali and Blaine, they are just too little to sit through a show. Bryce and I had a great time. He was so sweet holding and kissing my hand while we were walking to the theatre. The kids even got to go on stage with mamaw after the show.
