Monticello, Iowa and Field of Dreams

On July 7th, we took off for a quick trip to Iowa. We stayed at the Yogi Bear Campground in Monticello, Iowa. It was a great campground with an amazing wibit inflatable obstacle course on the lake. All 5 of us had a great time on that. Ali did amazing and fell in the water only once, but she went underwater. She was not a fan, and after that she was terrified that it would happen again. Bryce was still playing in his baseball tournament so we had to travel back home where his team won the championship in a double header on Monday, July 8th. We headed back to the campground after his 2 games which meant we didn't get back until 1 in the morning. The next day, we slept in and traveled to Dyersville to visit The Field of Dreams. We had the best time, just hanging out and playing ball on the field. It wasn't very busy so we got a few different chances to be on the diamond. The boys had a great time. Ali and I spent most of our time watching them and trying to catch tiny little frogs. After a few hours there, we headed to downtown Dyersville to eat lunch at Chad's Pizza which was really really good. We then went to a Field of Dreams exhibit in the baseball building which was all about how the movie was made. They even had uniforms you could dress up in. That was very neat! It was cool to read all the trivia about the movie and see how it all came about. After that, we headed back to the campground where we did the obstacle again and Bryce and I rented a paddle boat to explore the big lake. We hung out at the campground for the rest of the evening. The next day we headed for home to get ready for another pig show!
