Our Annual Weekend Trip to Peoria

Every March we travel to Stoney Creek Inn in Peoria to spent a 3 day weekend for the High School Boys 1A and 2A basketball tournament. We go with three other families from the Peotone and Manteno areas. This is daddy's 15th year, my 6th year, Bryce's 3rd year, and Blaine's 1st year going. Daddy goes to the games while mommy and the boys hang at the hotel. We did go out to eat twice with the whole group and found two different playgrounds for Bryce to play at. We swam in the hotel pool three different times, and walked along the river just outside the hotel. It was a fun weekend until about 4:30 on Sunday morning. Bryce got sick in his playpen and woke up crying which woke up everybody else. We decided to pack up our hotel room and head for home. He ended up getting sick a few times during the ride home and throughout the day. Luckily, it only lasted about 24 hours and nobody else got it. Well, not yet at least.

                     Bryce was a little overwhelmed and shy at the experience. He only wanted daddy.

 There were so many games and activities for kids to do, and this is the only thing he wanted to do.

 He loved the pool! All he wanted to do was get out and jump in, get out and jump in....

 A fun little park at the grand prairie mall. He loved it of course. The only way we got him to leave was telling him we would go swimming again at the hotel.

 We found this park right down the road from our hotel. We also found this little walkway through the woods along the river.
