Unfortunately, we did not enjoy Christmas Eve and Christmas day as expected. Ali Kay ended up getting sick on the afternoon of Christmas Eve. We were busy in the kitchen making breakfast casserole, cinnamon rolls, caramel rolls, and sugar cookies for Santa. All of the sudden, Ali said she wanted to go take a nap, which is something she never does. She woke up crying and ended up getting sick all over her room. She continued to get sick throughout the day and didn't go anywhere without her bucket. She wasn't able to keep anything down, not even a few sips of water. She continued to throw up until about 11 that night. So we were not able to go to Tucker Christmas at Aunt Mel's or the Christmas Eve service at church. Christmas morning she woke up feeling a bit better. She powered through, opened up presents, but she was back asleep by 9:00. She was able to eat a few crackers and drink some water when she woke up from her 3 hour nap. She slowly regained her strength but we did not go to Grandma and Grandpa's on Christmas night. So much for that yummy Swedish Sausage! By about 4 on Christmas day she was pretty much back to normal. Thank goodness it was only 24 hours. We are thinking it was some sort of bug or maybe something she ate. But who knows.
